Another Fibromyalgia Success Story – This Time a Male!

Male symbolMost people, especially those in the field of health, still connect fibromyalgia to females. As I have mentioned numerous times in my book, Fibromyalgia: Falsehoods, Fakers & Facts, and blogs, the male was the initial individual that so often was diagnosed with this “unknown” condition. Fibromyalgia and its scientific quizzical symptoms, although nameless at the time, can be traced back to Biblical writings in the Book of Gilgamesh. That does not mean this disease did not include females. The male was, during the early historical evolvement of the disease, the primary recipient of this condition. Females who “contracted” this disease were placed in mental institutions, or were used as surgical experimental models.

We do treat a number of males who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Recently, one young owner of a landscaping company from northern Arizona came in frustrated with the lack of success from treatments he had been placed on.  His symptoms were affecting his ability to do his job. After I outlined his treatment protocol, he followed the program to the letter. After just a few months, his progress has been such that most of his symptoms are minimal and he is able to work with less painful reactions at the end of his work day. All of his tests including 18 specific points of pain, utilizing the mapping assessment technique, are greatly improved. He is continuing on with the protocol and both he and his wife are certainly enjoying the fact that his future looks so much brighter.

This treatment protocol is quite simple. You either follow it or you don’t. If followed, almost all fibromyalgia patients show improvement from their symptoms. Most patients are astonished at how quickly their condition is resolved, and how simple this program is, when they follow it to the letter.

Let’s review the protocol. It involves a detox period of approximately three weeks, along with anti-inflammatory supplements including Omega-3, Fibroplex, and conjugated linoleic acid during this detox period. This is followed by the inclusion of guaifenesin and mapping. Some of the supplements will need to be continued for a few additional months. During this time the “key” to continued improvement is the removal of all salicylates, except food, from your life. Salicylates will block your body from returning to health. We guide you through what is an acceptable salicylate and what you need to stay away from. You’re not on your own as we help you through each stage. Your improvement is shown not only through the reduction of your symptoms but also through mapping, which is the only objective test to validate a patients improvement of fibromyalgia.

For those of you who are interested in the protocol but are limited due to distance, let your physician know that we are having two training sessions in Scottsdale, Arizona. The first fibromyalgia physician training session will be held on July 22nd and 23rd and the second will be in August on the 19th and 20th. Visit our website, www.fibrowellnesscenter.com for more information to pass along.

We hope you had a fun and safe 4th of July!
